Homebirth with your midwife at your side
Empowering Births for Wise Women
Meet your Midwife
Clare has been a health professional for nearly 30 years. Clare is a registered endorsed midwife and has been attending homebirths in Western Australia for over 15 years. Clare was the first midwife to get admitting rights to King Edward’s Memorial Hospital and now has admitting rights to Fiona Stanley Hospital as well. This means Clare can admit clients to either hospital and provide clinical care for planned hospital births or in the event of a homebirth transfer. Clare is passionate about promoting and supporting physiological birth and working with women so that they can be empowered in their birth choices. Clare combines these passions by working as an endorsed privately practising midwife (EPPM), providing holistic continuity of care to women; and as an academic teaching, researching and hoping to inspire the next generation of midwives. Clare completed her PhD in 2019..
Midwifery continuity of care & Home Birth
Give birth where you feel safest.
Will you feel safer in a hospital or under the roof of your own home?
Homebirth is a safe and empowering choice for many women.
Clare has been attending homebirths in WA for over 15 years and has extensive experience in supporting women to have physiological births at home.
Having the support of a professional you trust and know can make a huge difference to your birth journey. Despite the research evidence clearly demonstrates that continuity of midwifery care is beneficial for both women and babies, true continuity of midwifery carer is hard to find.
Women receiving continuity of midwifery carer are more likely to experience a spontaneous labour and vaginal birth, less likely to have pharmacological pain relief, an epidural, or an assisted birth.
Clare provides continuity of midwifery care from conception to up to 6 weeks after the birth of your baby, all in the privacy of your own home
Home Birth Midwifery
